1. Purpose and Legal Basis

Investment Academy protects intellectual property rights and respects copyright and authorship in accordance with the Copyright Law, its Implementing Regulations and the related laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This policy defines the ownership of training content, the limits of the licence granted to beneficiaries, the obligations of instructors and trainees, and the consequences of infringement.

2. Ownership of Training Content

  • All training materials delivered within the Academy’s programs — including training packages, presentations, video and audio recordings, question banks and examinations, trainee guides, digital materials and trademarks — are owned by the Academy or licensed to it by the rights holders.
  • The Academy, as controller, retains the records generated by the platform on attendance, engagement and grades, subject to the data subject’s rights under the Privacy Policy published on the “Privacy Policy” page.
  • Content prepared by an instructor on assignment from the Academy or uploaded to its platform is licensed to the Academy for its training, development and research purposes, with the instructor’s moral right of attribution preserved.

3. Licence Granted to the Trainee

The trainee is granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to access and use the training content for personal learning during the period of enrolment and for whatever period the Academy makes it available thereafter. The licence confers no right to reproduce, publish, circulate or commercially exploit the content.

4. Trainee Obligations

  • Not to copy, record, photograph, republish or distribute any part of the training content by any means.
  • Not to share recordings, learning materials, login credentials or virtual classroom links with anyone outside the program.
  • Not to use the content to deliver other courses or programs, or on other platforms, without the prior written consent of the Academy.
  • Not to remove or alter any intellectual property notice or watermark on the materials.
  • To use discount codes and offers granted to them personally only, without circulating or publishing them.

5. Instructor Obligations

  • Respect the intellectual property rights of references and sources used, and cite them when quoting or referencing.
  • Not to include any content protected by third-party rights without obtaining the necessary permissions.
  • Ensure the originality of the material delivered and its freedom from any infringement, and bear responsibility for any proven infringement of their own doing.
  • Not to publish or reuse materials owned by the Academy outside the scope of the assignment without written consent.

6. General Publishing Controls

  • Publishing any content that violates the law or public morals, or defames individuals or entities, is prohibited.
  • Quoting protected content is prohibited except within the limits permitted by the Copyright Law, with the source cited according to scholarly practice.
  • Contributions and discussions within virtual classrooms and the platform form part of the training content and are subject to the same controls.

7. Infringement and Remedies

Any unauthorized use, copying, publication or distribution of the content constitutes a breach of this policy. The Academy may apply the disciplinary measures of the Academic Integrity Policy (IA-POL-01), revoke the licence granted, claim compensation for damages, and pursue legal action before the competent authorities under the Copyright Law and the Anti-Cyber Crime Law.

8. Reporting Infringement

Anyone who believes that content published by the Academy infringes their rights may report it through the official channels with proof of ownership; the Academy will review the report and inform the reporter of the action taken within ten business days of receipt.
